i climb a mountain with no summit i race without a finish line test the depths of endless water live out the sentence that is mine
i'm the waterfall that's burst and now we're drowning i'm the heart that learnt to beat just as it broke i'm the voice that's frozen into silence i'm the song that my spirit never wrote
carry me away, carry me away
i know much more than i am feeling i win more battles than i lose i'm taller now than when i suffered i've gained ability to choose
i'm the child that will not leave the hand that holds me i'm the heart that learns to beat in time with truth i'm the complicated picture of humanity i'm the spirit that is full of you
and if i stay here, will you comfort me if the tears fall down, will you rescue me
carry me away, carry me away to a dream that was almost fading carry me away, carry me away i know you, you're strong enough to save me
i know that you are strong enough to carry me away Carry Me Away. Copyright JuliaGrace. Parachute Records
ok....on to the present.
My harddisk crashed, so i'm using my mum's laptop now...and she nags when i use it cos she's afraid i leave it on overnight like how i used to with my laptop. Aiyers...
*yawns*....ok i'm tired and sleepy now...so i shall catch up with you guys tomorrow or soon(when i feel like blogging that is...)
aside from Hillsong Australia, this is the other band that i like. I like their music, they were inspired by the spirit to write Complete and other nice songs like All My Life and All The Earth.
But someone in this group that i really like is Juliagrace. Not only does she sing well, but she has a humour that kills too! Goodness gracious! i attended her vocal workshop and every other time she makes the participants laugh. She sorta reminds me of Vernetta Lopez.
here is her singing "Carry Me Away" from her self-titled debut album "Juliagrace"
i went for the parachute band workshop with Julian and i really learnt alot from the workshop, as a worship leader myself, i think this workshop opened my eyes to the different ways that people worhip HIM.
in the evening, Joyce joined us for the worship concert. Kinda weird how they term this time of encounter with the lord as "Worship concert" something like an oxymoron...haha
Overall it was not bad...let's not judge....heh..."All the Earth" was good.
What happened after the concert was embarrassing...haha...we didnt know where to go, so since we were at Pasir Ris, what better place to go than to Fisherman's village to chill rite? But no, when we labouriously walked there, we realised that theplace to chill was gone and another place doesnt accept card payment when all of us didnt have much cash....
so how? "Ask andrew how lar"(a phrase to answer we used at BB when ppl ask how). we decided to go to Jalan Kayu for prata(i think). So we took a bus to the interchange..but on the bus we decided that we wanted to go to a place where there was air-conditioning so we thought of every where and finally decided on good-old Serangoon Gardens. So we withdrew cash and got on a Merc!cab(i stress the merc...BMF...haha).
so when we got to gardens, we went to this place called liquid kitchen...which i tell you most solemnly, offers a good range of drinks and food. and the ambience there is darn good too! we sat on the alfresco dining area on the 2nd level...but we got a good scare just before we left...cockroach hanging above the door....eeeeeucks!
but i met my closest sis yesterday after work...she thoughtfully popped by with her boyfriend and her close friend. And we spoke for a while, and she told me that another one of my sis misses us like crazy and she cried when they both met up in campus. So this is to my miz-yaya, i miss you lots too...will come back to see you and your boyfriend eh? *samat*...haha
So a few things have happened since i last blogged. I'm still working at BBRC, but thinking of stopping and working elsewhere. Haven't informed CMPB about my decision to stop my course. Bought a new U2 iPod.
But something that really struck and woke me up today literally was my dad calling me up to tell me that Raffles Hospital wants him to work for them, and they want him to run the whole dentistry department. But that means he has to stop and close the business that he has been doing for almost half his life already. and the business that started with my grandfather. So i'm sure he must be at this crossroad wondering if he should take up the job. My advice was go for the interview and see what happens, because this type of opportunity only come once.
anyhow, i'm going to bathe now and go see the doc...i'll see all of you soon....
toodles people!
*poof*
