He Leadeth Me...

He leadeth me, O blessèd thought! O words with heav’nly comfort fraught!
Whate’er I do, where’er I be Still ’tis God’s hand that leadeth me.

He leadeth me, He leadeth me,
By His own hand He leadeth me;
His faithful follower I would be, For by His hand He leadeth me.

Sometimes mid scenes of deepest gloom,
Sometimes where Eden’s bowers bloom,
By waters still, over troubled sea,
Still ’tis His hand that leadeth me.

Lord, I would place my hand in Thine,
Nor ever murmur nor repine;
Content, whatever lot I see,
Since ’tis my God that leadeth me.

And when my task on earth is done,
When by Thy grace the vict’ry’s won,
E’en death’s cold wave I will not flee,
Since God through Jordan leadeth me.

Today, i celebrated my birthday in advance with my friends from CSC, ministry members and
some close friends!

and what a joy it was to have them. The adults, the ever funny adults from SJMM. We had so much great food and great fun! Really am thankful to God for these people whom i can learn from. One point that i thought made a huge impact was Andrew's testimony...though i didnt get to hear the whole thing...but i think the Holy Spirit gave me a gist of it. Most of all, i'm even more touched and honoured that he took time off the YISS to come for the party!

Now its time to thank the people who made my day and showed me HIS love:

The youths+band: Ah! what would i be without you??? Julian, Gus, Bianca, Joyce,Gerry,Andrew,Matthew and Angeline What a waste that Gus wasnt around. It would have been more enjoyable to have him around, Gerry too...But anyway, thanks for your thought of buying me a present, though its with Joyce...ben ben ben ben...haha:) thanks for the joy that you guys share with me...for all the time that you guys "waste" on me...thankew thank you!!! love you guys! Oh and Aunty Agnes, thanks for coming...Happy belated birthday!!! :)

the adults:
family by family:

GavSylAng: Thanks for the CD and the cross! I love hymns! thanks syl, for believing in me...for allowing me to lead worship. You always bring a smile to my face! Do rest well, take care of your health, and the 4 little angels!

andrewSoong: thanks uncle Andrew, for being my model...yah! model! Its very weird....i'm taking after you! ur cold jokes and the singing! Better not be similar in size man! haha:)

Sandra: thanks aunty San, your care for me, the smile and encouragement you give me! you bring Jesus to me! Your foldable card and gift really speak to me in this time of uncertainty and really in Him i know all things are possible and His love is abundant.

RussSharenSim: thanks sharen and russ, for always offering words of encouragement and love to me. And the smile and laughter you bring to me!

Jenny: Thanks Sis, for always being there for me...for sharing with me, your joys, laughter and ur downs...through you have i learnt many things.

mamaShirley: thanks mum, for the care you give me, for the wonderful food you offer me.

Kelvy: Thanks for believing in me as well. for giving me opportunities to volunteer at MStar and to learn!

Godpa: my everloving godfather, thanks for being Jesus and fatherly to me.

friends:

Brendan: thanks number 1! for coming and wishing me happy birthday countlessly. i'm really honoured to have a close friend like you. thanks for doing the bbqing for the party...i know you enjoyed it! keep up the good work! hope to see you back at CSC!!!

family:

Mum: thanks for taking all the tantrums that i sometimes throw...thanks for the love you shower upon me unconditionally. really hope and pray that you can come to CSC and serve.

God: Thank you! that's all i need to say! thank you, my loving God!!!

And yes, i'm really thankful for today. today i experienced what the first christians experienced when they were filled with the Spirit, they were joyful and they fellowshipped! Today i felt more closer than ever to this ministry that He has given me an opportunity to serve in.

And it is in this disposition and spirit that i will enter into the next phase of my life...

Hallelujah! What a Saviour!

Oh Hello!
good to see you here! were you just bored? did you come to visit this blog because you had nothing to do?
i guessed as much -sigh-
How have you been my old friend?
You know, its just 3 days away from my enlistment. And i sorta feel it hitting me now...not to sure if its fear, nervous or excitement.
Well, just came back from Hong Kong on sun...it was quite a tiring trip. Did quite a lot of things. Spent quite a lot on shopping.
yah...so that's about all...
till then, enjoy the photos!

its a long long journey....

Hello,

its been a long time since he updated. By the way, just in case you forgot, his name is Nicholas.

well, anyway, he has been up to a lot over the past few months. He has since quit BB because of his impending enlistment. So now he just lazes around at home, although he will be leaving for Hong Kong on wed with his family for a holiday.

Anyway, he went on a beautiful and fun trip with some of his band mates to the Night Safari. They had beautiful Bongo Burgers which he thinks is out of this world. He wishes to go back there again to have dinner before his enlistment, though he knows that the others will think that he is mad.

Oh did he tell you that he has lost some weight? well now he is telling you.

Vocally, he thinks he has improved by the grace of God and through the vocal lessons together with Stef.

oh and last week CSC had a family day carnival at Pasir Ris park where everyone had their fair share of fun. What happened after the carnival is definitely blog-worthy! Of which he will now tell you.

The youths decided to go cycling after the carnival and so they rent 2 double bikes from the bicycle kiosk. halfway thru 1st hour, Julian remembered that he left something at Holy Trinity where he was in the morning for a wedding. So they decided to extend the rent and cycle to Tampines from the Pasir ris park. And the rest as they say was history!

you don't know how many heads turned to look at them as they cycled. Imagine 4 orange clad youths on double bikes cycling next to your car! you might have thought that they were on a marathon type of thing.

Well...that's as much as he wants to say for the adventure of his lifetime.

its 1.38 in the morning and he is beginning to feel sleepy, so now he bids farewell to you. till next time when he decides to post again.

toodles!

*poof*
