It's the time of the year...

Yes indeed, it's the time of the year where family members get together as one to celebrate christmas. An old tradition that started in Europe has spread its joy and hope to all over the world. Christmas, is where we herald the coming of the Servant King, Jesus, born in a stable, son of God, son of Man. Love came down.

We Are the Reason (Avalon)

As little children we would dream of Christmas morn’
Of all the gifts and toys we knew we’d find,
But we never realized a Baby born one blessed night
Gave us the greatest gift of our lives.

We were the reason that He gave His life
We were the reason that He suffered and died
To a world that was lost He gave all He could give
To show us the reason to live.

As the years went by we learned more about gifts
The giving of ourselves and what that means,
On a dark and cloudy day, a man hung crying in the rain
All because of love, all because of love.

I’ve finally found a reason for living
It’s in giving every part of my heart to Him,
In all that I do, every word that I say
I’ll be giving my all just for Him, for Him.

We were the reason that He gave His life
We were the reason that He suffered and died

To a world that was lost He gave all He could give

To show us the reason to live. He is my reason to live

indeed, He is my reason to live.

As I have written in all my Christmas cards to some friends, this year has truly been memorable, truly meaningful. I made many friends that i never want to lose in life. Maressa, Yaya, Shereen, Gus, Joyce, Andrew, Mad, Julian, Bianca, just to name a few...It's been an exciting year, leaving TP and some other places altogether. But i believe that God will make a way and He always has plans for us.

So i spent Christmas eve with Joyce and Julian. Went to VivoCity with Joyce to get my shoe and had dinner with her. Then went to Raffles City to meet Julian and we went to Cathedral for mass. They experienced for the first time Sir Peter Low's choir. It was really a christmas eve feeling like you might have seen in the movies sans snow, winter clothing and all...but the spirit was there.

Then we went to Bugis for supper at Causeway Bay cafe...food was great but ambience was a little 'salar'. then we walked aimlessly and endlessly to Jazz at the South Bridge. I really liked the place a lot, music was awesome, cos i like Jazz...so it was cold in there and the lights were dim and there was great music, so i imagine i was spending christmas in New York or Manhattan or something...haha...then we walked aimlessly and endlessly around and finally to the Singapore river bank at UOB plaza...there we sat and shared a lot and there was a call that came in that was "omg"....haha....so we spent an hour or two there and we went to find an atm to take a cab home...but we walked endlessly before we found a DBS atm which once again was so "strategically located". By the time i got home it was almost 6 plus.

So i got up at 1 to cook for my family again...and after cooking, here i am sharing with you my Christmas joy and peace!

To all my Christian and non-christian friends and "avid" readers, Merry Christmas and a Hairy new year! May the peace of our Lord be with you always!

here are some pictures of the night:
